Caffeine Anhydrous

Caffeine Anhydrous – Product Information

What is Caffeine Anhydrous?

Caffeine is a methylxanthine alkaloid found in food such as coffee, tea, cola, energy drinks, and chocolate. It has energizing effects because of its potential ability to act as a CNS stimulant and to improve performance. Caffeine has been widely used by athletes as well as by individuals just needing to feel alert.

Caffeine (1,3,7-trimethylxanthine) is a plant alkaloid with the chemical formula C8H10N4O2 and a molecular weight of 194.19. It is a bitter white powder in its purest form. Caffeine (and other methylxanthines) are structurally similar to purines. Caffeine has a half-life of about 5 hours in healthy subjects’ plasma.

Caffeine Anhydrous is a highly concentrated form of caffeine that has been used for decades by athletes, bodybuilders, and other fitness enthusiasts. It is derived from green coffee beans and is one of the most popular stimulants in the United States(USA). Some Caffeine Anhydrous has a USP grade. It is also available in many countries around the world, making it an accessible product for research.

Caffeine is also a popular ingredient in personal care products such as skincare, cosmetics, and supplements. Caffeine is a vasoconstrictor, which means it shrinks and tightens your blood vessels. It can also be an effective ingredient to freshen up your skin, eliminate dark under-eye circles, and reduce puffiness in your face when used in the right amount. Caffeine Anhydrous is also known for its anti-aging properties and can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Patients are advised to use medical-grade skin-care products because they are supported by controlled studies that demonstrate the products’ formulations, ingredient transparency, and efficacy.

How Does Caffeine Anhydrous Work?

Caffeine works the same whether it is obtained naturally or as caffeine anhydrous. It’s a deceptive impersonator of another chemical in your brain called adenosine. When adenosine binds to specific receptors in the brain, it causes you to slow down and feel sleepy. Caffeine binds to those same receptors and prevents as much adenosine from binding as possible. This keeps you awake and alert for a longer time period.

Caffeine Anhydrous Research

Numerous animal and human studies have been conducted on the potential application of Caffeine Anhydrous or caffeine powder. Below follows some of the relevant reviews and findings:

Caffeine Anhydrous on Brain Function (Central Nervous System)

In a study conducted on albino mice, caffeine stimulates the central nervous system in both human and animal models; it easily crosses the blood-brain barrier and is a competitive inhibitor of adenosine receptors in the brain thus increasing alertness or mental alertness. Caffeine consumption intended for an extended period of time improves motor function, possibly by promoting dendrite growth and an increase in neuronal population. [R]

The study needs further research on its effectiveness, particularly its use in human consumption.

Caffeine Anhydrous on Improved Athletic Performance

According to a study male Volleyball players (CMJ) who consume 5 mg/kg of anhydrous caffeine improve and increase their overall CMJ (countermovement-jump) performance without experiencing any side effects or difficulty. [R]

Also in another study on mice, the caffeine-treated mice became restless, excited, aggressive, and hyperactive shortly after receiving caffeine, which is thought to be due to caffeine’s psychoactive nature. Chronic caffeine consumption was shown in this study to selectively improve locomotion and motor coordination performance. [R]

Caffeine Anhydrous on Weight Loss

In another study of caffeine anhydrous on mice, it was found that the mice in the high-dose group had a significantly reduced rate of weight gain throughout the duration of the study, compared with those in the low-dose (decreased quantity) or the control groups[R]

Caffeine Anhydrous on Muscle Function

A study of fifteen active men was conducted. As the results were evaluated, muscle improvement was also observed with the 5-mg/kg caffeine dose, when compared to the placebo. The current study’s findings of improved muscle performance are not universal in the caffeine literature. [R]

Another study that used a similar isokinetic protocol found that a high caffeine dose (7 mg/kg) boosts muscle performance in football players. Caffeine has also been linked to increased muscle force production and endurance. More research on the effects of caffeine on voluntary strength and/or power is still needed. [R]
