PTD-DBM

What is PTD-DBM?

PTD-DBM is a synthetic peptide designed for research applications in dermatology, wound healing, and regenerative medicine. It is often studied for its potential to promote hair follicle regeneration and influence cellular repair and growth pathways.

PTD-DBM is primarily investigated in combination with valproic acid (VPA) to enhance Wnt/ Beta-catenin signaling, a key pathway involved in hair growth and tissue regeneration.

This product is strictly intended for research purposes and is not approved for human use.

Chemical Properties

How does it work?

PTD-DBM is being studied for its role in enhancing the delivery of Beta-catenin activators into skin cells, particularly when used with valproic acid (VPA). This combination may stimulate the Wnt/ Beta-catenin signaling pathway, which is critical in the development and growth of hair follicles and tissue regeneration.

• The PTD (Protein Transduction Domain) component allows the peptide to effectively penetrate skin cells.
• The DBM segment may interact with signaling molecules to influence cellular pathways.
• In laboratory models, the peptide might help increase Beta-catenin levels in dermal papilla cells, key regulators of hair growth.

These mechanisms are still being explored in preclinical studies.

What are the potential benefits of PTD-DBM?

Researchers are currently investigating PTD-DBM for several experimental applications:

• Hair Follicle Regeneration: It is shown in animal studies to promote hair regrowth when combined with valproic acid.
• Tissue Regeneration: It is explored for its role in enhancing cellular repair mechanisms.
• Drug Delivery: PTD-DBM is studied as a delivery system to improve the cellular uptake of active compounds.

Note: This product is intended for research purposes and is not approved for human or veterinary use.

Research on PTD-DBM

Hair Growth Studies

Preclinical research, especially in mice, has shown increased hair regrowth when PTD-DBM is administered alongside valproic acid, highlighting its potential in treating hair loss.

Wound Healing

There is emerging interest in evaluating its role in wound repair and skin regeneration.

Signal Modulation

Studies focus on its impact on Wnt signaling, a pathway involved in cell fate decisions, regeneration, and organogenesis.
